Marissa Cade
Vice President of Governmental Affairs, Oregon
Marissa Cade is a passionate leader who represents and facilitates coalitions and organizations working to advance policies that improve people’s lives. As Vice President of Government Relations in S360’s Oregon office, Marissa combines insightful political perspective with effective strategy, prioritizing consensus-building and authenticity in her coalition work. She works closely with clients to develop and execute detailed legislative agendas, leveraging her unique blend of political savvy and creative thinking. Her expertise in facilitation, government relations, policy advocacy, and strategic planning has consistently driven growth and fostered impactful partnerships. Marissa works with health, mental health, and addiction recovery groups, youth and social services, housing, and private companies alike.
Marissa’s political career began when she served as a Legislative Aide and Policy Advisor in the Oregon State Legislature. Since that time, her work has evolved into a successful consultancy career. Her ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and align organizational objectives with governmental policies has been instrumental in securing support for high-impact programs across various sectors.
Some of Marissa’s key achievements to date include expanding the KEEP program to support over 5,000 foster families statewide; consistently increasing therapeutic foster care capacity each biennium, doubling this resource since 2018; founding and leading Home Share Oregon, an innovative housing program; and creating and convening the Sober Inner Portland Coalition to expand treatment and recovery housing services.
Marissa earned a BA in Political Science from Portland State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Prior to PSU, Marissa served as Student Body President at Portland Community College, demonstrating early leadership skills that have defined her career.
