Cups Up Eastside!
Four cities got together to make a dent in the use of reusable cups at the plethora of coffee shops in their cities.
Through a collaborative effort, local participation and an integrated campaign plan we were able to bring this campaign to life on the street and online with the “Cups Up” Campaign.
Our strategy was to include local artists, baristas, community event organizers and our audience as messengers. We reached out to three local artists who created original artwork representing the reusable cup as the hero, we then had stickers made of the artwork and delivered to our participating coffee shops. Every time a customer came in with a reusable cup they got a sticker, and were encouraged to post a cup selfie on social to win weekly event tickets. The local baristas announced the weekly winners, getting a boost for their business as well as giving our campaign an extra organic feel. At the end of the summer one lucky cup poster won an eBike from a local bike maker.
Throughout these integrated efforts we were able to deliver 4.5 million combined impressions to residents with our advertising. Hundreds of residents participated in the contest over the summer, culminating with the winner announcement at the end of the summer.
The integrated campaign included search, banners, streaming radio and television, social ads, in store posters, and event materials.
