Arnold Phommavong
Vice President, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Arnold Phommavong has been a creative director and designer for the past 10 years. He brings a human-centered approach to uncovering and solving brand and creative challenges. Arnold begins solving every problem by building a deep empathy for who he is designing for—understanding end-user needs, motivations, and challenges to create beautiful and seamless experiences in both print and digital environments. As part of our comprehensive approach, Arnold works closely with strategists, art directors, designers, and copywriters to create compelling designs that elevate clients’ brands and tell their unique story.
Arnold has created design systems for clients like KUOW 94.9, Adrift Hotels, Next Steps Idaho, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and the Port of Vancouver. He’s worked with several Alaska Native Corporations including Bristol Bay Native Corporation, Koniag, Inc., and Sealaska. Before joining S360, he worked at Pyramid Communications, creating designs for Pacific Northwest institutions such as the Seattle Theatre Group, Pacific Science Center, KEXP, and the United Way. Previous to that, he spent a year volunteering with AmeriCorps VISTA serving as the marketing and outreach coordinator at OlyCAP to help underserved families and children on the Olympic Peninsula.
Outside of work, Arnold is a community leader serving as a Vice President for AIGA Seattle, the Professional Association for Design. He oversees strategy for the organization’s Design for Good initiatives—the Changemaker Series, which connects nonprofits to volunteer creative teams; Women Lead, programming to help advance womxn in design; and DEI work, focused on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization and the greater Seattle community.
