Vice President of Local Government Affairs, Marshall Runkel utilizes his decades of experience in local government and clean energy to help clients understand how to achieve their goals in Portland, across Oregon, and the Pacific Northwest.
Runkel’s strategic thinking, communication and collaboration skills have consistently produced results. As an Assistant and Chief of Staff to members of the Portland City Council, Runkel coordinated efforts that produced new revenue streams for affordable housing, homelessness, and clean energy. He has navigated topics as diverse as complex telecommunications policy to siting homeless facilities. He combines his passion for creating and implementing positive change with a deep commitment to forming authentic, productive relationships.
Runkel has nearly two decades of experience working with executive leadership at the City of Portland and a decade of working in the clean energy field that included co-founding a small business, forming, and serving on the board of directors of a trade association of contractors focused on clean energy.
Runkel is a long-time Blazers fan, enjoys working in the garden and family adventures.
